Highlights create brightness throughout the hair and are applied up to the scalp, making them a great option for guests wanting a brighter overall look or help blending gray hair. Highlights typically require maintenance every 6–8 weeks.

Balayage is a hand-painted technique that creates a softer, more natural, lived-in look. It is typically darker near the root and gradually becomes lighter toward the ends, allowing for a more seamless grow-out. Balayage usually requires maintenance every 12–16 weeks.

When booking online, balayage guests should select “A Lot Lighter” as their service. For highlights, you can choose either “A Little Lighter” or “A Lot Lighter” depending on your desired level of brightness. Your stylist will discuss your goals during your appointment and customize the service to create the best look for your hair.

The right service depends on your current color and how much darker you’d like to go:

• A Little Darker: Perfect if you want to add subtle depth, richness, and dimension. This service uses darker tones throughout the hair to soften bright highlights, enhance your natural color, blend grays, or create a slightly deeper overall look.

• Dim the Lights: Also known as reverse balayage, this is ideal for highlighted hair that wants to keep a dimensional, sun-kissed effect while adding depth. Your stylist will blend highlights and lowlights to create a richer, darker appearance.

• All Over Color: Choose this if you’re covering roots and refreshing the ends with a gloss, or if you want to go slightly darker all over from your current shade.

• Going Darker: Dramatically Darker: For guests with blonde or lightened hair who want a major transformation into a much deeper shade. Going significantly darker often requires multiple steps to achieve an even, rich tone while maintaining hair health.
